artist's statement
At the beginning there is a notion, a sensation of sorts, an idea and the desire to act on it, do something with it. For me it always starts with and derives from the body: the female body in particular, my own, others. It is where I always begin and where it ends – the work is what happens in between, the outcome of the process of transformation.

Some of my work is on a small scale, 10 to 40 cm high but I have also worked to life size and all my work is cast in bronze. I am trained in bronze casting and I choose to finish and patinate all my own work. I continue to exhibit in Scotland, London, and Norway. Private sales and commissions also include clients in Japan and Germany.
